“Web site of SSP project” (hereinafter referred to as the “site”) is organized by The SSP Project Office in Osaka University. We implement this privacy policy in order to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in respect of private information protection.
1. Collection of Private Information
We do not collect private information. Treatment of other information about visitors is mentioned below.
2. Collection and Use of Access Log
We gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), date/time stamp, and clickstream data, etc.
Japanese laws do not regard these data as private information, but we assume it almost equivalent to private information and treat it with extreme care. We use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the site, to watch illegal accesses, to learn about user behavior on the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not use these data to detect individuals nor will we disclose it to any third party.
3. Use of Cookies
We collect and refer to the visitor’s cookies to administer the site. Cookies are small packets of information sent from the web server to the visitor's computer.
We use cookies only for analysis of access and not for collecting visitor’s private information. Dependent on the settings of a visitor's browser, cookies may be refused or a warning that a cookie has been received displayed.
